Cold Blooded Old Times...

Here is one from our first date. Funny.

Hey Riley, Check Me Out!

Chopper was up to usual tricks today. He loves to do leg lifts. All day long with the leg lifts...over and over and over. Don't come too close to the Chopper or you are bound to lose your life. Am I recycling "jokes?"

Baby Food

Last night and this morning we started introducing baby food. Rachael is trying to feed them both some rice cereal. They did okay so far. I don't think they quite know what to think, but overall it was a success.

6 Months Old Today!

We can hardly believe that Jack and Riley are 6 months old today. We are very happy to have made it this far and with so few problems. Very good.

In celebration of their "birthday," Rachael took a ton of photos. You can see them all here.

Also, you can see it web-album form here.

Animal Collective (I hate the video, but the song is cool)

Cut Up...

I went to the doctor today to get a mole checked out. Rachael has wanted me to have a doctor look at it for quite some time. Well I went in thinking that I would just get a referral for a dermatologist. Next thing I know I'm face down on a table getting scalped. As you can tell from the video, I have a fairly big cut. Hurts...six stitches. Crazy.

Riley Remembers Laughter...

Great laugh this girl has. Squeaky.

I Can't Believe This...

Rachael and I have a lot of trouble keeping Jack in his brace. And now he has learned how to untie his shoes. Great. After this video was taken, I put his shoes back on. The next thing I know he is doing the same exact thing, reaching for his laces and trying to untie his shoe. Crazy.

Wait for it...

I was taking a video of Jack and Riley today and poor Riley had a mini-puke-explosion. Though it is relatively funny, it is also a real bummer because it made her upset. Never a dull moment...

So here it is...

Here are some photos from today. Jack looks so studious in his sweater.

I almost forgot about this song, one of my favorites. This one should have made one of their albums.

Does Anybody Remember Laughter?

Jack laughs all the time now. If I shake my head and make funny noises he gets really happy. He also is getting closer and closer to crawling. I put him on his stomach today and he was close to motoring away. Meaning he almost move six inches.

You're as Cold as Ice...

For those of you not in the local area, we have been hit with some cold weather lately. On my way to work yesterday morning it was negative 12 degrees. That is without the wind-chill. I thought I was a bad-ass and parked in "the pit." The pit is the municipal lot of Brown's stadium...pretty much. Anyways, my walk was about 5 minutes to the justice center. I had no hat. By the time I reached the building I thought that I had frostbite on both ears. Also, and this is the first time I have ever felt this, I got a "ice-cream headache" from the cold weather. Weird.

Our house, on the other hand, is so damn hot that I feel like I'm sitting in a schvitz.

For more info on our local Schvitz go here. Apparently this place is fairly well known around these parts. Sounds like an interesting place. Not sure of the company I would bring to a place like this. Anyways, back to baby stuff.

So yeah, it is cold. We had to take Jack and Riley to the Dr. today (don't ask) and this is the get up we had them in pre-flight. We also gave them some hats.

Here is a glimpse of the frozen tundra that is our front yard.

And one of Riley.

Laughing

Deep Breath...

But I wouldn't trade them for the world. That is a phrase you hear a lot of from parents. And it certainly is true. And there is certainly a reason why the phrase begins with but. Damn. And they say it gets easier...I hope so. Been one of those days.

I swear that as I type this I smell like pooh. That is how many diapers I have changed in the last few hours. Over and over...everytime I change one of them, they crap in my lap.

Here are some photos of little Jack from today. Riley wasn't feeling very up to photographs. She has been fussy all day. At least that is the report I received from the boss.

Thank You

In case anyone who reads this blog is wondering about thank you cards for gifts they have given over the past 6 months, let it be known that Rachael and I are in possession of a bunch of thank you cards as ordered from shutterfly. They have a photo of the kids etc...real professional and all. So expect cards to go out soon. We plan on getting them out this weekend. Rachael and I are officially trying to join the grown-up world of showing appreciation through cards. Sorry for the delay.

The Cleve...

Typical slamming of our fair city, but funny anways...I guess. And I'm sure this clip is a little old and all, but it is funny how the rest of the country still believes there is this place called the "flats" where people in Cleveland hang out. For those of you who don't know, the east bank of the flats has been demolished, literally. And as far as the west bank is concerned, and I have lived there, it is hardly the place to be. My friend and I would walk the streets late at night and would never come across another living soul. The only good thing about the west bank is the harbor inn. And even though that is the best bar in cleve-burgh, it is typically empty.

Chopper!

Here is our man Jack. We have been calling him chopper for some time now. As you can see from the video, he gets his namesake from repeatedly smashing the ground with his brace. Rachael and I have both come close to being unassuming victims of most certain carnage. Turn your back once and you are likely to get whacked by the chopper.

Photo Time

Here are some photos from today/yesterday. As you can tell from the photos, they are growing up quick. In the video it looks like Jack is starting to crawl.

"We're off to see the wizard..."

"the wonderful wizard of Oz..."

"because, because..."

"because, because..."

Wait! Halt! There will be no singing in my playroom! You understand me Riley!

At ease...

Ughh...

Rachael says I bitch too much. Today she might be right. Twins are tough and they don't even walk yet. That will be a whole other challenge. Even crawling will pose new problems. For those of you who have ever stepped foot in our house, you know that our house is almost beyond "baby-proofing." It is the anti-baby house. Everywhere is danger. That will be a joy for another time. For now, it is nearly impossible to keep up with the day to day routine of maintaining a house, let alone chasing kids around. Stressed out. Whatever...rambling.

Riley is 11.4 and Jack is 13.6? We just weighed them and I already forgot.

Anyways, here is some stooges footage. Fitting considering the recent news.

Go Bucks!

The little ones and I are watching the Bucks tonight. So far so good. At least they are in the game this time. Riley went to the dermatologist today for her ear. All is well. She just had to get a steroid shot to keep up the healing. Back to work full force now, started my first trial of the year today. Might have to do three in a row. Fun times. There have been four attorneys associated with this trial over the past year and every attorney has twins. Defense counsel on this case has twins that are now teenagers. He told me his kids were in the nicu for five months. Damn.

Here is a photo from today.

Finally, A Youtube Clip Worth Watching!

Hey, I have been messing around with Picassa and their "movie" maker for sometime now. I never could get it to work properly. Well, I finally was able to get it working and Jack and Riley have made it to youtube.

This looks like it might be good.

Sitting

Rachael and I got out Jack and Riley's booster seats today. We were both really surprised how nice they are. The babies seem to be okay with them. I'm always amazed how much I enjoy things like mini-vans and booster seats, but I guess that is our life now.

They both look like little toddlers.

Swimfan't

So I just wasted a few hours of my life watching swimfan. Waste a few hours of your own life if you like and watch it above. Even Erika Christensen couldn't save this one.

Rachael and I had to cancel our interstate journey to Pittsburgh for the day. So I guess the kids will have to wait to leave the great state of Ohio.

This is some real dribble, and really only an excuse to post these photos below. In the second photo you can really see what Jack is going to look like someday. It's like you can see his adult face coming through. I don't know what little Riley is going to turn into yet. Something adorable I'm sure.

Cavs

I'm getting a somewhat deserved night out away from the kids tonight. Going to see the Cavs. At least there is one good team in Cleveland right now. They're playing the Bulls.

The only baby news is that both babies typically sleep through the night now. That rules.

Here is a photo of Jack and I from today.

Land of the Lost

I just saw that they are making a Land of the Lost movie coming out this year. This made me remember this show and how it freaked me out as a little kid. Rachael claims she never saw it. Must have been a Jersey thing...

Surrender

No real reason, just a great song.
