Bob Evans

Rachael and I went out to eat with the kids tonight. We went to Bob Evans. The meal lasted about 10 minutes. It was the quickest "dinner" I ever had. The kids were good though, and it is important to eat together. Family values. No photos though.

It's Blitz! Promo vid (one album I'm looking forward to this year)

7 Months

Well they have made the seven month mark. I thought I would never care about such things (see early post making fun of such "birthdays") but alas I guess I do care. I guess these mini-benchmarks are worth something. The kids had a good day today. Daddy daycare was open for business during the early morning hours of the day. Bring on the pears tonight. A new food group.

I drove by this car a number of times earlier this year on the way to work. I always wished I had a picture. Now I do, it was on cleveland.com today. This car was completely covered in ice. Oh the joys of Cleveland living.

7 Months Tomorrow

Here is a video from today. Not the most exciting video in the world. Sometimes babies just need to act like babies I guess. Crazy that they are 7 months tomorrow (or really today as I write this), Jack is somewhere in the 15 lb range (high end I think) and Riley is nearing 14 lbs. They are tiny and feisty.

Some people are quick to to nay-say the White Stripes performance from the other night. Yeah, it might not be their best, but even their worst is better than most. At least it is genuine/authentic. Whatever that means. I guess it means it sounded like a performance. It is a little bit of a sleeper though.

Back to baby news. I saw Jack take a toy out of Riley's hands today and it looked deliberate. Could be the start of a long and vicious toy war to come.

New Photos

Jack and Riley are starting to eat their baby food now. Rachael has turned our kitchen into a baby-food factory. Our freezer has been stuffed with ice cube trays filled with various mush. All is good.

Hank's in the House! Whoop! Whoop!

Hank came home today. That is the big news of the day. He was on hiatus for about six months. Our house just completely shrunk with his return.

In non-baby news, Rachael and I spent a good portion of this weekend watching t.v. Shocker. One of the shows we watched is definitely worth your time and makes me wish I had Showtime. If you get the chance, check out The United States of Tara. Good show. Watch the first episode below. Worth your time.

Riley

Valentines Day

So what's new in the world of Jack and Riley? Not much. The biggest development really, is that Jack wants to grab everything in his sight. He is a big grabber and wants to touch everything. Riley had a giggle fit yesterday. I guess that is news. Here are some photos from this morning.

I'm giving Rachael a valentines gift right now (letting her sleep) and she doesn't even know it yet.

Two more things. Thank you for all the valentines day cards for Jack and Riley. And Rachael and I have all the thank you cards filled out and in their envelopes. Now all we have to do is get them in the mail. I swear we are really busy these days. Is that a good enough excuse?

I will get some photos later...

New Denim Blues

So Jack and Riley put on their denim today for an early morning photo shoot. It will be nice to conduct these photo shoots somewhere different. We did get a few shots of them from yesterdays stroller ride though. We had a nice day here and Rachael took them for a spin down the street.

Birthday Weekend

It was my birthday this weekend. It was great. Rachael and I got out by ourselves and went to eat and saw slumdog millionaire. Thank you Cornetts. I was also able to order the G1, which I'm waiting patiently to receive in the mail. For those of you who do not know, and are wondering, wow I MUST know what phone Brian is getting, you can see here. Thank you Mom. Damn, I can't wait for that phone.

Kids are doing great. They get cuter by the day. They also get more self-determination each day.

And of course, Radiohead from last night.

Another Day in the Life...

Just another morning. New schedule of late has me waking up around 4:00 and feeding both children while I drink coffee and catch up on yesterday's Stern show. Of course the trade off, and benefit, is that I typically go to sleep earlier than rachael. Well, point being, I "shot" this video sometime this morning.

And put this in the category of things I've learned: Whenever your baby-mama asks you "Where's Riley?" don't respond with "I thought she was with you." Didn't get the response I was hoping for. Oh well. At least I got a laugh, right?

Ripcord

One good development of late. Jack and Riley never have their monitors on anymore. We have realized that they are not necessary anymore. Quite a post, I know, but really it is a great step forward for Jack and Riley. No wires.
